Pitcher? I hardly know ‘er (I had to)!
Andre Breton famously described Frida Kahlo’s art as ‘a ribbon around a bomb’. This pitcher is the THISS interpretation of that line… and by ‘interpretation’ we mean ‘a version that could be filled with wine’. Despite being bifurcated - thanks to Matt’s skill and patience - Gringo is a functioning pitcher that has been glazed in a drippy-blobby (technical term) mingling of speckled and glossy greens. All is tied up with two golden ceramic ribbons - thanks to Sof’s skill and patience. Luke did nothing but stand at a safe distance and ogle.
